North East Schools County Lines Training Programme

Improve how you safeguard children in your school from criminal exploitation with a holistic training programme which provides bespoke information and learning for school staff, parents and their children.
Who is the course for?
School and Teaching staff
We will be welcoming all teaching and school staff to attend a two hour live webinar session where they will learn:
- What county lines and criminal exploitation is
- How children are being groomed in the North East
- Where to signpost parents and carers for support
- The importance of contextual safeguarding and a multi-agency approach
Parents and Carers
Parents and carers of children will be invited to attend a free live evening webinar where they will learn about what county lines is, what tactics exploiters are using to groom children, what to do if they have concerns and what services are available to them. They will also have the opportunity to ask questions to our subject matter experts. These sessions will be co-delivered by a parent with lived experience and a trainer from Ivison Trust.
Children and young people
Children in Years 7-10 will attend an awareness session at their schools where they will learn what criminal exploitation is and how exploiters groom children. The session will be co-delivered by a trainer from Ivison Trust and a young person with lived experience. Under 12’s and children with special educational needs will be provided with live, remote awareness sessions during school time.
