A Small Star

Once a small star wondered far from home.

Darkness came over what was once a happy home.

The days grew longer the nights never ended, the pain in my heart that was only for you.

The memories of laughter felt worlds apart.

I whispered a prayer into the dark.

I held my breath with a praying heart that one day we will be as one and not apart.

With a fragile flame, a guiding spark with love waiting patiently so far apart.

Now new courage has grown where confusion once stood.

A child once lost who found her way back home.

My child, my life I watched you slip from home but God gave us grace and bought you back were we you began.

I see God’s mercy in your return, his promise in your healing and his strength in your eyes..

Your journey, you told me, you needed to do, but now I’m home mum my journey is with you.

I love you my child.
